About Herwig W Dierckx

Great to see you here and a big thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you’ll enjoy the content.

26032013About me; in short. I am really delighted to having that thing that you may envy so much. I have time; time to do the things I like and that I am good at. The things that stretch me and that are built on my expertise and further development desires. That expertise is mainly 25 years of global senior Human Resources practice in large/global organisations and with emphasis on employee relations, M&A, organisation design, mentoring and leadership development. It is sauced with passion for authentic leadership and for keeping things simple; an approach that is more and more welcomed by many CEO’s and senior leaders that I have advised and mentored throughout Europe, Asia, Middle-East, Africa and USA.

“What you hear is what you get”; that’s how it should be and that’s also what most of my blogs here are about. Some of these though are overloaded with the meaningless business jargon and buzzwords (the theme of this blog); just to give it a creative and satirical spin.

Executive Interim management, coaching, mentoring and public speaking is my bread (see more  on HWDConsult – LEADERSHIPbasics here); travel, al fresco dining and forest walks are my butter.

And what about you; you like some more butter –perhaps even champagne and caviar- on your company’s bottom line? You’d like help on your change agenda, believe in the strengths of authenticity and of a happy workforce. You may like to simplify some processes or like to review ‘the way we work’. You could do with a sparring partner to discuss changes or need someone to implement these. Just let me know on herwig@hwdconsult.com and we’ll talk.

My –and Einstein’s- motto: “Not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that can be counted counts”.

Speak to you soon.

All opinions expressed here are mine; and I take full responsibility.  However, 🙂

The blogs are not written as a guide to managers on how to react to the current pressures of business life; it does not advise to comply or to not comply with internal company regulations. It’s  not written as a guide for the use of your Xerox copier, the London Heathrow eye-scanning machine, your colleague’s stolen stapler or your office Sip Well water cooler. Nor does it advise on the use of your home Nespresso machine. You should follow your manufacturer’s instructions for your specific type of equipment.  As such, the reader agrees that the author is not responsible or liable for any claim, loss or damage arising from the use of any information, nor for the actions that you may decide to take out of reading this information.
The content of these blogs does not substitute the local and national tax laws that may apply to you.
I reckon that’s enough ass-covering. Oh, and, objects in your rear-view mirror are closer than they appear.
